Link and Zelda in 411’s “Top 50 Video Game Heroes of All Time” List

According to 411mania.com, Link is quite the hero, which we all knew without a doubt already. He is in the top 10 of their top 50 video game heroes of all time list! At #3 he rates higher than Mario, Samus Aran, and many other famous video game characters. Samus Aran from the Metroid games and Mario are in the top ten of the list at #4 and #5, respectively, just below Link. Although Zelda was placed at #27 and did not make it into the top 10, she still holds a special place in all our hearts, especially since her name is in the title of our favorite games!

The #1 spot is secured by a very unexpected contestant which is Jade from “Beyond Good and Evil”. She is followed by Gordon Freeman from Half-Life at #2. Are these two better than Link and Zelda? I think not! On the other end of the list we have guys like Jim from Earthworm Jim coming in at #49 and Kratos from God of War is #50.

Some of my other favorites on the list are Ezio from Assassin’s Creed (#18) because he is just the greatest acrobat ever. Sora from Kingdom Hearts (#22)is great because he seems so happy-go-lucky and he really cares about his friends. I’m fond of Jak and Daxter from…well…Jak and Daxter (#30) because the dialogue between them is quite humorous. Luigi from none other than Super Mario Bros. (#36) is epic because next to Mario he is just legen-wait for it…-dary. Donkey Kong from Donkey Kong (#38)is one of my favorites because he is just one smart ape. Dante from Devil May Cry (#44)is really great because he exterminates evil demons.
