Last day to earn Coins on Club Nintendo
Posted on March 31 2015 by Andrew Kiser
As we’ve posted before, Club Nintendo is officially shutting down their site. While you are still able to redeem rewards until June 30th, Today (March 31st) marks the last day that you are able to register products to earn Coins on the site.

Thankfully all the Zelda-centric items are still in stock and redeemable on Club Nintendo. If the current list of redeemable items still haven’t caught your eye, keep in mind that this year’s Gold and Platinum Elite Status rewards have yet to be announced. For those that don’t know, members who reach a milestone of 300 or 600 Coins in the course of a year are awarded Gold and Platinum Elite Status membership respectively. In addition to the items already listed on the site, an exclusive list of items will be released that are only obtainable by Gold and Platinum members. From this list, Elite Status members may choose one item which they can redeem for free (it will not reduce the amount of Coins they have saved up). Club Nintendo has noted that these Elite Status rewards will be available starting April 1st. Last year they only released digital games for the Elite Status members. Many are hopeful that with this being the last set of Elite Status items, Club Nintendo will go out with a bang by offering some unique physical items. In past years Elite Status items have been a Luigi’s Mansion statute or a set of Hanafuda cards, the same type of cards Nintendo made when the company first started.
Nintendo has also announced that they will be releasing a new rewards program that is more integrated across multiple platforms including smart devices. Hopefully we will learn more about the types of rewards and incentives will be offered in this new rewards program soon.
What Zelda exclusive games or merchandise are you hoping they will release for the Elite Status rewards? What would you like to see done differently in the new rewards program from Nintendo? Leave a comment with your thoughts!
