With Hyrule Warriors finished and so close to release, not to mention all the Zelda U hype, it’s extremely easy to forget that the Wii U is already home to a top notch Zelda title. The Wind Waker HD might be a remake, but it’s a beautiful and masterfully created one too: something thousands of fans have surely learned in the last few months thanks to its part in the Mario Kart 8 promotion. For those of you on the fence, decide quickly; this deal ends tomorrow!
For those who haven’t heard of this promotion, here’s a brief explanation (if this is not clear enough, there’s even a nifty video in which Reggie explains the process):
- Purchase Mario Kart 8 at retail or via the Nintendo eShop
- Register the game on Club Nintendo (You will have to create an account if you do not yet have one)
- Complete the registration survey for Mario Kart 8
- Choose from one of four games (or one of ten if you’re in Europe!)
- Obtain the download code and enter in into the “redeem download code” area on the eShop
This incredible deal has indubitably played a pivotal part in this title’s insane attach rate, but those of you who have a Mario Kart 8 code lying around must register it by tomorrow in order to get a code for the free game.
