Large Restock of Zelda amiibo Rumored for Tears of the Kingdom, Stock Confirmed at French Retailer
Posted on January 04 2023 by John Piland
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is fast approaching, and recent listings from French retailer fnac may hint at good news for amiibo fans.
Recent updates to fnac’s website show a great number of Zelda-themed amiibo available for purchase, from Breath of the Wild to Super Smash Bros. Here is the full list of amiibo currently available at retail value on fnac:
- Link – Majora’s Mask
- Wolf Link & Midna
- Link (Rider)
- Link (Archer)
- Link – Ocarina of Time
- Link – Twilight Princess
- Link – The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda & Loftwing
- Guardian
- Link – The Wind Waker
- Link – Skyward Sword
- Link – Link’s Awakening
- Zelda – Breath of the Wild
- Zelda – The Wind Waker
- Bokoblin
- Zelda – Super Smash Bros. Collection
Most of these are returning amiibo, save for Zelda & Loftwing, which has yet to retire. No word is available on the remainder of Zelda amiibo, though chances are this restock is in preparation for Tears of the Kingdom, meaning restocks of those amiibo aren’t unlikely.
Most large Nintendo Switch titles support amiibo functionality, and it’s likely Tears of the Kingdom will do the same. It remains to be seen what features amiibo could bring to the game, though it’s likely they’ll at least function similarly to Breath of the Wild, where they dropped daily chests with loot and the occasional piece of exclusive armor, depending on the amiibo used.
No official statements have been released by Nintendo about the restocking of Zelda amiibo, nor are there any confirmations or listings outside of the French retailer, but stay tuned for updates on the possibility of more amiibo news.
What amiibo do you plan to buy, if restocks come to your retailers? How do you think they may be used in Tears of the Kingdom? Let us know in the comments below!
