Jeweler Creates Replica Kokiri Emerald from Ocarina of Time

Reddit’s Zelda subreddit is a wonderful space on the internet, filled with talented creators and fellow fans of the series. There are a lot of amazing art projects and replicas, but this commissioned Kokiri Emerald from Ocarina of Time takes the cake for the most amazing I’ve seen.
The Kokiri Emerald is the first of three Spiritual Stones that Link is tasked to collect during the early parts of Ocarina of Time. The stones play an important role in the story of the game, because when all three are collected and a certain song is played, the Door of Time can be opened, granting access to the Master Sword.
User Ryan56k recently posted a photo of the replica Kokiri Emerald commission. The piece of jewelry is made from 14k gold and fitted with a custom cut peridot gem. The use of peridot in place of emerald adds a beautiful subtlety and meshes well with the gold. The entire piece is quite small but impressive, and comes with a hidden base, presumably for the chain of necklace. It would be a sight to see all three of the Spiritual Stones, but it’s hard to believe anything could be more beautiful than this replica.
Ryan56k writes in response to a question in his comments that this project took ten hours, with six being dedicated to the cutting of the stone, and the other four reserved for fabricating the mounting. It is clear that Ryan56k takes extreme pride in their work, so if you’re interested in commissioning your own gem project, here is Ryan56k’s website as well as a link to their Etsy store. The website is where you can browse a catalogue and request commissions, and their Etsy shop offers numerous gemstones and some necklace choices. Ryan56k also streams their craft on Twitch, so check out their channel by clicking on this link!
