Japan Gets Special Edition Smash Bros. New 3DS LL, Theme for Home Screen

While we haven’t had the console officially announced for North America yet, Japan is getting a special edition Smash Bros. New 3DS XL, which confirms what we thought all along. The face plate swap isn’t on the XL version so they can keep releasing limited editions that way, versus just making people buy face plates. In addition, they are getting a Smash Bros. theme for their Home screen. We’ll likely see that theme come our way later this year, but we may not see the New 3DS LL Limited Edition version. However, Japan is also getting a Smash Bros. faceplate, and I would suspect that has a much higher chance of coming to North America next year.
