Hyrule Warriors Weapon Trailer: Impa and the Naginata

Tecmo Koei is ending the week on a high note, as we have yet another Hyrule Warriors trailer to take a peek at before the weekend hits. This one focuses on Impa and a new weapon, the naginata!

Impa seems to be a fan of large weaponry, as we see her wielding a naginata in this trailer. Much like her large sword, the naginata appears to be capable of attacks that encompass a large range, but unlike her other weapon, Impa seems to be slightly more agile. We see her quickly paving her way through a group of enemies and contrary to her employing water-based techniques like before, Impa imbues the naginata with fire-based moves, giving it even more destructive power.

The trailer also gives us a look at her Musou, a technique in which enemies are drawn towards the center of a huge ring and culminates with six enormous naginata blades crushing the trapped combatants. You may also notice that the Eye of the Sheikah appears in the center of the area where the Musou took place. Finally, the trailer also gives us a glimpse into how we will be dealing with Gohma. Unfortunately, all we really see is an eye-laser attack before Impa makes quick work of it. At least we get to see her shoot it in the eye with the bow.
