Last week, we reported that some copies of Hyrule Warriors were experiencing frame rate drops and occasional freezing in co-op and on the title screen. Well, the people at Koei Tecmo have taken quick notice and are saying that the patch is almost complete. According to the official Hyrule Warriors Twitter, the development of the fix is at the completion stage and is being checked before distribution. The interesting part is that they have added a little something extra to make up for the problems.

In addition to fixing the reported bugs, the patch will also include an all new game mode. There have been no details on what the new game mode will include, but I won’t argue against having more reasons to play this game. With Koei Tecmo wanting to push out the fix as quick as possible, I would assume that the new mode is something that had been planned either to release later as DLC or something that was pulled from the original game before distribution. Either way, this is good news for every fan of the game.

There is still no release date for the patch, but players of the Japanese version of the game can expect it very soon. For those who are waiting for their version of the game to release, you can probably expect a day one patch.
