Hyrule Warriors – New Zelda spinoff title on Wii U

Nintendo announced Hyrule Warriors, a new Koei-Tecmo Warriors meets Zelda universe game featuring our favorite hero.

The trailer for the new Hyrule Warriors game features link fighting a ton of monsters near what appears to by Hyrule Castle. The trailer, while pretty, doesn’t show a lot; we didn’t see much about the controls, but if it plays like most Warriors games, we’ll probably see plenty of button mashing and crowd based combat.
It’ll also be interesting to get some information on the game’s plot, something else absent from today’s announcement. Keep in mind, Hyrule Warriors is just the working title, as the trailer says, it’s not final.
Another worthy note, this is NOT Zelda Wii U, but merely a spin-off game. Hyrule Warriors is due out sometime in 2014.
