Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Shipments Exceed 3.5 Million, Reports Koei Tecmo

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity left 2020 with a bang, with over 3.5 million units shipped worldwide by the end of December.
This news comes from Koei Tecmo’s latest fiscal report, which covers sales data up to the start of the new year. What’s more, Age of Calamity‘s stellar shipment number does not account for digital sales of the game, meaning these numbers are but a glimpse of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity‘s impressive performance. For reference, the game exceeded 3 million sales within a week of release, making it the highest selling Warriors title of all time.
Units shipped is a metric that reflects the total number of game copies that are shipped to retailers; the number does not necessarily indicate the total number of units sold to customers. This distinction should not diminish Age of Calamity‘s sales success, however.
Are you impressed by these numbers? How do they compare to your expectations? Let us know in the comments below!
