High Sales for Hyrule Warriors in UK Charts

The highly anticipated hack and slash title has sold exceptionally well since its European release last Friday, charting number four in the GFK Chart-Track. As of today, Hyrule Warriors is currently the second game with the most sales in the UK, just behind Activision’s Destiny. This is a strong start for the first Western release of the game, ranking higher than Disney Infinity 2.0, but failing to surpass the popular title, Destiny.

Hyrule Warriors is currently the top Wii U and Nintendo game in terms of sales; Tomodachi Life places fourteenth while Mario Kart 8 slips behind to 28th. (You can view the entire UK list here). Not many Nintendo games scored high; however, it will be interesting to see how Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS places after its release.

It is unclear whether or not sales will remain strong in the West after its decline in Japanese sales charts. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how Hyrule Warriors performs in the upcoming US release. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
