Hey, Listen! The 2022 Zelda Dungeon Marathon Has Its Own Theme Song!
Posted on July 09 2022 by Kat Vadam
It’s nearly that time of year again! In just a matter of days, much of the Zelda Dungeon crew will come together to play for you as many Zelda games as we can, plus a couple of other titles. The goal? To raise money for kids!
The 2022 Zelda Dungeon Marathon will run from noon on July 16th through July 23rd, streaming live on our Twitch channel. This year, all proceeds raised during those seven days will go towards the Starlight Children’s Foundation, a wonderful organization whose mission is to better the lives of sick children in hospitals all over the United States. Through games, arts and crafts, toys, and books, Starlight helps to bring joy and laughter to the little ones who need it most.
And, for the first time in Zelda Dungeon Marathon history, we have a theme song! How cool is that?
This year, we are happy to present the beautiful musical talents of composer Marcus Hedges. Known for his orchestral arrangements of music from video games and pop culture, Hedges has brought us a medley of songs from the adventures of Child Link, including Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask! Listen, and feel once more all the wonder and excitement of childhood innocence, a cherished time of life.
What perfect music for such a perfect cause, don’t you think?
Be sure to check out Marcus Hedges’ music on his YouTube channel, The Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra, and his website. While there are currently no plans to make the marathon’s theme song available for purchase or streaming on platforms like Spotify, you can still keep an eye out for his own posting of the song in the coming days!
And don’t forget to watch your favorite Zelda Dungeon staff members starting July 16th over on Twitch! Check out our official marathon post here for more information.
