Here’s the Weird Item You Get For Completing the Hyrule Compendium in Breath of the Wild

In my journey to completely collect and fulfill every item and aspect in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I finally am finished with the massive chore of filling up the Hyrule Compendium. Taking pictures of every item, enemy, and so on is by no means an easy task. I bought about 70% of it from Symin at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab with my hard-earned Rupees to save time, and here’s what I got for my struggle.

Did… Did Symin just hand me porn? Of course not, this game is rated E10+. However, one has to wonder what the purpose of this envelope is if not to be a dirty joke. Can Link use it somewhere? Does Link have to hand it to someone? These are questions I need answers to. Who is the Sheikah woman? Is it Paya? Is it Impa in her younger days? I don’t know.

The Internet doesn’t know either. Google searches show everyone else is just as baffled, as no one has been able to figure out what this thing does. It shows up in your “Key Items” menu, and it looks like there it will stay. Before handing Link the envelope, Symin says he deserves a reward, but he’s not sure the lab’s budget will allow for it. He says, “Although… If he’s that passionate about pictures, maybe… Well, it will have to do. Here. I found this sandwiched in a book. I have no interest in it myself, so…”

His dialogue continues to ask the same question I would like to know. “The woman in that picture… You don’t suppose it’s…” It’s who, Symin? Just who is in this picture, and what book was it in? If you have any answers, feel free to let us know in the comments.
