Go “All In” With These Detailed Zelda-Themed Playing Cards And Charms

For those haven’t yet discovered the joys of browsing on Etsy, this online marketplace has one of the best communities of independent creators on the internet. Video games and their characters have a vibrant presence on the site. Searching “The Legend of Zelda” will give you access to endless pages of amazing art pieces, statues, wood carvings, and other unique products available for purchase.
One shop that stands out among the crowd is House of Cards & Gifts. If the art of House of Cards & Gifts looks familiar, it’s because it has been featured on Zelda Dungeon’s Artists of Legend column in the past. House of Cards & Gifts includes a variety of playing cards, charms, stickers, and greeting cards, many of which are themed around video games. There are several playing card sets available for purchase including decks inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Banjo-Kazooie, and Pokemon. Each deck includes 54 individual drawings (52 cards for the standard deck, along with 2 Joker cards). These decks also include distinct back images that fit their theme.
House of Cards & Gifts‘s Zelda playing card decks are a great option for fans of the franchise or those looking to buy a present for a fan. While there are official Zelda-themed playing cards from Nintendo, these hand-drawn decks have an endearing quality to them. The art draws inspiration from a variety of games from across the Zelda series, along with some unique designs like a Christmas theme. Along with this Zelda-themed deck, some Zelda designs also make their ways into the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate deck and Zelda-themed charms. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate deck includes art for Link, Toon Link, Young Link, Sheik, Zelda, and Ganondorf.
In discussing the process for creating her items, creator Ashley shared that it takes about a month or two overall to complete the design for a deck of cards. Additionally, the cards are all hand cut and also include hand rounded corners. Overall, a great deal of thought and care has gone into the art and card designs.

Upcoming themes for decks include Mortal Kombat, Animal Crossing, Sailor Moon, Studio Ghibli, Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy; so if there isn’t an item for you right now, it might be in the pipeline.
