GameOver Jesse: Zelda Wii U and the Book of Mudora

The most recent theory-sparking element of Zelda Wii U footage we have seen is easily the little book Link was carrying in the November Nintendo Direct footage. YouTuber GameOver Jesse has brought his friends together to discuss this little book, and it’s possible connection to a well-known book from A Link to the Past. With help from RMFH, M. Productions, Two Button Crew, and Cessseeezy, Jesse looks at every bit of evidence possible to determine what significance this book has to the upcoming Wii U title.

I am hesitant about this theory. Since there was only one solidly named book of significance in the series, the Book of Mudora, people are likely to compare that one book to this one, which could easily be something totally new. That, and saying that all those books in the series are all the same one, while fascinating, is unlikely. Still, I did not even know about Ocarina of Time 3D‘s books bearing the Sheikah symbol, and knowing about those books sways me a bit towards this theory being more believable, especially considering this new book also bears the symbol. If Nintendo did end up calling this book the Book of Mudora, I would certainly hope that they make that name connection significant – giving a reason for it’s appearance in A Link to the Past – rather than just making the name an easter egg.
What are your thoughts on this theory? What is the significance of this new books appearance in Zelda Wii U? Drop a comment!
