Forums Get a New Look
Posted on February 22 2010 by Mases Hagopian
After having the same forum theme for the better part of the last two years, the Zelda Dungeon forums have finally been given a face lift. We’ve launched a brand new forum theme that very much resembles the layout that you see here at the site. In fact, the forum has the same full header and the forums appear built into the site, rather than a completely separate section like they did before. All in all, the forum theme fits much better and was a much needed improvement.
The new theme, while fully functional, will have its share of bugs. This really is a beta release of sorts as we are still finalizing a few things. We wanted to get it out there so that the forum members can take a look and spot any of the bugs that we missed. If find something that looks awkward, please let us know and we’ll get right on it.
This forum theme wasn’t just the effort of one person. There are a couple people that deserved to be mentioned including our forum moderator, and secretly new staff member Vincent, who helped me with the color scheme and working around vbulletin’s frustrating template system. Another thanks goes out to head forum administrator Mr. Mosley, who worked with me on a near nightly basis for several weeks now to get this to its current point. Lastly, I’d also like to thank Alex Jones, owner of LegendofZelda.com, who suggested and influenced several key elements that have come into affect over at the forums with this new theme.
I hope all you forum goers enjoy the new look and I hope that site visitors take the time to join our Zelda forums. We have a wide range of discussion sections, including a Zelda Wii Forum that has over 50 threads concerning the upcoming Legend of Zelda title for the Nintendo Wii.
