Sup peeps, Random Person here.

If you could choose any five characters from the Legend of Zelda series to come together and form a team, who would they be? Your team can be for dominating fights, experts at solving puzzles, the greatest exploration team ever, doesn't matter. As long as they're from the Legend of Zelda series, should be fine. And as far as people like Zelda/Sheik or Adult Link/Young Link as long as they can instantly change from one form to the other than they count as one Person, otherwise they're two. (STOP CHEATING).

My Team: Made for solving any problem.

Leader: TP Zelda - Of all the Zeldas of the series, I feel this version is the best "leader." She has a queen mentality which makes her perfect for giving orders. But of course, she's Zelda so she's also very kind. I almost replaced her with Tetra, but this Zelda has a bit more experience with all that light power she holds inside of her. Zelda's vast knowledge and wisedom is exactly what the team needs to get the edge on whatever task they're trying to complete.

Second in Command: Sheik - I don't need two Zelda, but Sheik is definitely an add in. With ninja like skill, Sheik can get things done that takes a bit more finesse. And with his (yeah, I call Shiek a boy) stern Personality, he's perfect for being the inbetween guy of giving commands and taking them. And since he's not as "nice" as Zelda, he can give advice for when she's too soft.

Fighter/Explorer: MM Link - I utterly refuse to have a team like this without having atleast one Link. It was between the Hero of Time and the Hero of Twilight. Ultimately, the Hero of Time won out but not the one you'd expect. MM Link has a wide variety of weapons with all the experience of the grown Hero of Time. With his arsenal of masks, and many different swords at his disposal. I can't find a reason to choose his more adult version. Especially since the FD mask is essentially his adult version but more epic. With Link on the team, he will always have the tool needed to solve any problem. Link is also a very fast learner and can do things only after being told once (sometimes even less). With his sword fighting skills, he'd be a great fighting force. The only thing I'm concerned about is without a fairy, his targeting won't work.

Powerhouse: Twilight Princess Ganondorf - And for those moments where we just need power. Don't get him wrong though, Ganondorf could easily make leader or second in command on this team. Problem is... he's kind of evil and his plans have been known to fail. I feel that during TP Ganondorf was at his most powerful so chose that version.

Mechanic/Comic Relief: Groose - I needed a fifth. Honestly, there are much more reliable mechanics, however I chose Groose for two reasons. One, he makes great comic relief and I NEED that on my team. Second, he's very inventive, fast and reliable. Groose may seem like a bumbler, but he's there when it matters which is exactly what I like to see.

I defy you to find a team that can beat mine. GO!

Leader: SS Link
He's a hero by achievements alone; the original hero. He doesn't need anyone to guide him because he has first hand experience of solving evil.

And that's pretty much my team. any Link can serve perfectly fine on their own thanks to OMA. <3

Dragoncat

Twilit wildcat: Aerofelis
MM Link does have a fairy...Tatl.

For my post SS headcanon, I have a royal council for Link and Zelda as the first king and queen of Hyrule. So I kinda already did this, but I'll make a new team. Not specific to one game. Love the thread idea :)

Shipwrecked on a deserted island:

Brains/Leader: Pipit
He is one of the military strategists in my post SS headcanon, the other being Karane. He seems like a guy who can keep a level head during a crisis and come up with effective solutions to problems. Plus he's a knight, so he would be able to defend himself if he had to. I chose him over Karane for this role because...I think she'd be more likely to freak out and not do as well. Idk, I wish I could have both of them.

Brawn/Carpenter: Groose
Another one from my post SS headcanon team, there he is the weapons specialist. He's not much different in this team. He would be good at building shelters and patching the boat, etc. Don't know how well he would react to being stranded, but I'm sure once he's busy he'd be fine.

Hunter/Gatherer/Scout: TP Link
Wolf form = easy way to get food. He can hunt small animals on the island, they won't even need snares or traps. Also he would be a good scout/lookout. Also he seems good with nature, which would help a lot.

Diplomats: Aryll, Tetra
Surprise! The island wasn't deserted after all. Somebody needs to talk to the natives, let them know the situation and see if they'll help in whatever way they can. Aryll's likeable and friendly, and seems like she would be able to reason with the natives easily. If they're unfriendly, Tetra can be unfriendly right back to them until they comply. Aryll will be safe with a tough pirate on her side.

Well this shall be fun

Leader: Twilight Princess Link
Well what can I say about this version of Link? Well to be honest I think he's easily the best Link to date, he seems the most noble as well as mature. He doesn't just save Hyrule because he is destined to, he saves Hyrule in order to accomplish many other tasks that tie into personal adventures. Link is pretty much a hero, more so than another Link to appear on a Zelda title. He doesn't just save Hyrule, he restores light and peace to the seperate provinces, saves his childhood friends, helps out numerous people and aids Midna. In my eyes he's the complete hero and a born leader.

Bodyguard: Fierce Diety
The Fierce Diety has always intrigued me, just his sheer power when Link dons the mask is tremendous, he eases past bosses as if he was squatting flies. For some reason I want Nintendo to delve deeper into the mystery of FD and explore his past presence in the world of Termina, he seems to me like a god figure maybe more fitting of demi god position. I would label him, in my own theory, as the God of the Moon, or in essence the God of Night. Anyway his role would be to support Link and offer bulk in terms of power, he would act as a companion but more of a bodyguard figure, helping Link out in combat and such.

Scout: Argorok
Argorok probably doesn't fit this role down to a tee but let me explain; as his primary form of movement is flight, he would be able to traverse high up into the skys and spot locations, hidden areas, items and enemies. Argorok would also offer many means of transportation, allowing the team to reach the, prior, unreachable areas. There's also the factor that Argorok is a heavily armoured fire breathing dragon, now I'm sure this would come in handy, am I right?

Assassins: Interlopers
I guess I'm kind of cheating here give the Interlopers count for more than one physical presence but my team wouldn't be complete without them. As there name suggests, the Interlopers tend to invade and since they were able to get within inches of the Triforce I think it's a given that their skills of Invasion are sufficient. Within this team, the Interlopers would hide in the shadows and tactically sneak past areas and use stealth to reach their intended destination or take down a target of sorts. Due to their, known famous, shadow magic they would easily be bale to overcome foes and with the power of the Fused Shadow they would be handy in combat too.

Blacksmith: Gaebora
Maybe an odd choice here however I feel this character would fit fine into my team. It seems that a lot of my team thus far is based on sheer power, however Zubora's role will be crucial as he will be the person who acts like "medic". Maybe not reviving people as such but instead forging countless blades and reforging blades when they break etcetera. One of the most powerful swords seen in a Zelda game was created by Gaebora himself, that being the Gilded Sword, and I'm sure he can forge many a strong blade as well as other useful items. It also helps the fact that he seems to be a giant golem, so he may prove useful in defensive situations.

Hm... Interesting thread I suppose.

Tank: OoT or TP Darunia. A goron who packs a powerful punch and who's tough skin protects him from enemy blows.

Off-Tank, DPS: TP Link - Wolf Form. The closest range Link, and able to take down many enemies at once with the help of Midna.

Support: Midna. Helps Link to perform attacks that takes down many enemies at once.

Support, DPS: OoT Zelda. Casts a wide array of spells that can damage enemies, protect allies, or give her better positioning. (Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, Farore's Wind)

DPS: Nabooru. Gerudos dance nimbly around their foes, avoiding hits and dealing damage.

Well, if we're counting bosses...

I'd have Bongo Bongo instead of Zelda, and Volvolga instead of Nabooru. Volvolga deals a ton of damage, while Bongo Bongo damages and positions enemies to take full advantage of the TP Link - Wolf/Midna combo.

Personally, I wouldn't trade Bongo Bongo's for Zelda. Anyone with magic perception can easily exploit his weakness and Zelda is much more diverse. Volvagia might be a fair trade for Nabooru though, for while he's not nearly as quick or clever he is tough as all out doors. Just my opinion.

Zelda is easily countered by almost all things physical, depending on the iteration we're speaking about.

SS Zelda is literally a do-nothing.
OoT Zelda can tap into the power of the sages, but for what I personally know (not sure if this is fact or not), only when the sages have their energies concentrated. Wrapping the sages up seems to be short work, at least for Ganondorf.
TP Zelda...I don't even know what she does. She can summon Light Arrows, and while she's a decent shot, she is still manageable.
TWW Zelda...see TP.
ST Zelda...well in body, see TP; out of body, she's a force to be reckoned with.

I won't include villains or broken characters (Fierce Deity) in my team, because they're the ones I'd want to go up against to begin with. SO!

Leader: ALTTP Link. I almost chose TP Zelda since RP mentioned her queenliness, but I imagine that I (Link) would clash for the leadership position, so she's a no-go. ALttP Link managed to whoop a fully powered Ganon without the aid of the Triforce, so he'd be my choice.

Tank: Spirit Zelda. Her ability to possess enemies is downright bad-ace, so there's that. And I could use her for defense, walking across flames, etc. Pretty much all the uses she had in ST. And she'd double as my vehicle when I got too lazy to walk anymore.

Front-line: OoT Impa. Lookie 'dem muscles! She's got some cool Sheikah techniques, she has a short-ranged weapon (check out her action figure!), and I assume that with the combination of her build and skills, she'd be a good choice to lay on the damage at a quick not but stupidly-fast-and-unreasonable speed.

Air support: Tingle, 'cause he's got mad skills with explosives.

Scout: Linebeck. 'Cause he's a sneaky devil and a Jack Sparrow ripoff. Every team needs an amusing addition.

Lol Furie... Bringing WoW/RPGs into Zelda...

As for me, I would prefer a team of four, so here's mine:

Leader/DPS - OoT Adult Link. With his arsenal of weaponry (two swords, bows + magic, bombs, longshot, Din's Fire, Nayru's Love... need I go on?), Link would be perfect to be there in the middle of the fighting. He also has a ****-ton of experience with puzzles and crap (Water Temple is one of the largest achievements on his resume), so I think he would be a perfect leader and fighter.

Tank - OoT Ganondorf, who would change into Ganon when **** gets serious. Considering that OoT Link holds most of Ganon's weaknesses already (Master Sword, Light Arrows), not much could really damage Ganon, and that's if the enemy manages to reach the tail. Besides, you can't ever really kill him if Link has the Master Sword, so he'd be a perfect tank.

DPS/Scout - Sheik. For pretty obvious and bad-*** reasons. Also Zelda's powers could be a slight bonus, but whatever.

Healer - the Great Fairy from the Cave of Ordeals. For healing your wounds and comforting your weariness, and the fact that she can release fairies at her whim makes it incredibly easy for her to bring you back to life if you run outta hearts. Also she's pretty hot ;).

There, a team of four. Navi doesn't count, as Link wouldn't need her around to listen to anyway.

EDIT: Just realized that I have all three bearers of the Triforce from the same game on my team. Isn't that sort of an automatic win?

1. OoT Zelda is who Furie was referring to.

2. All Zelda's have the ability to tap into Hyrule's Light Power which is a very powerful source of magic. Exactly what the limit of said powers are are uncertain but since Link is able to shoot light arrows as well, it can be assumed that light arrows are but one result of accessing the light power. Zelda at full strength most likely will result in what was seen in TP when Ganondorf had control over her. (It's pretty heavily insinuated that those were Zelda's powers, not the G-man's) Zelda's tend to be able to do different things because of how well they've developed using their powers. I theorize that light arrows are just one of the basics for banishing evil since the power is clearly connected with light. (But that's just a theory)

3. Let's not forget that Zelda was up against the baddest baddies when these things happened.

4. Other things that aren't relevant but would gladly discuss outside this thread. Zelda's power has fascinated me for a while now.
