Hey ZD forums! here's my theory on the twili/midna's people/twilight dwellers or whatever you want to call them.
For one thing, they don't talk. didn't that strike you as weird that nintendo wouldn't allow us to talk to them, even after you did save them? furthermore, the twili besides moaning, never made any expressions. they almost seemed as part of the scenery. like trees. so what do you think of the twili? are they people to you, or just graphics?

The Twili are a descendent of the criminals sent into the twilight realm by the sages. Perhaps they can't speak. Maybe they were just shocked to see a human and didn't know what to say.
