Technically the triforce is obtainable in the first legend of zelda and Wind waker when you have to collect pieces of one of them. Also when you combine the three pieces of the triforce it makes five triangles. If you don't believe me then draw one on a piece of paper and count.

You forgot Skyward Sword. But in neither it is really usable.

You draw the triforce by making 3 triangles, then there is a triangle in the middle which makes 4, and the 5th triangle is the big triangle that the triforce itself makes.
So you have 1 big triangle and 4 smaller triangles inside of it. Thus the triforce makes 5 triangles.

I actually haven't gotten that far into the game yet. Also I never stated that the item was usable I Stated that it was an item that appeared in most Zelda games.
