Latley I was searching for music and me being an avid Dubstep listener i searched for new Dubstep Mixes. It just so happened that a Lost Woods Dubstep Remix was made that I haven't heard of before. I was shocked. It amazed me that not only Dubstep payed attention to Zelda, but that I had never thought to look it up before! Dubstep/other people who like to remix stuff like Dubstep have done all sorts of mixes from the Gerudo Desert Theme to Zelda's Lullaby. I'm not sure if I was the only one who didn't know about this and I was just oblivious, but it's awesome!

So it got me wondering, are these new mixes better than the original? I love the original but I have to give credit where credit is due. Some of these mixes are sick and I love listening to them, some more than the original. It's all up to personal preference though, so I'm curious to here your opinions!

Here are links to some of the remixes I find the best. Make sure to listen to atleast one all the way through before making a post.

Zelda's Lullaby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3xpqwCY7yE&feature=related

And for your viewing pleasure, a Skyrim remix that's absoloutley epic. This isn't related to the thread but I can't keep this mix to myself it's so good.

I enjoy the dubstep, but it makes it hard to focus unlike the original. It is my favorite still though.

Hanyou

didn't build that
I've expressed this in another thread, but I just don't get dubstep. I especially don't get how adding beats and funny robot noises over a good song can make it better.

Zelda music tends to be either epic or intimate and warm, and I've yet to hear any dubstep that nails either mood. None of these really have the atmosphere of the originals, and atmosphere an important component of much video game music.

If you're going to remake Zelda music without an orchestra, I think metal is the best fit (there are plenty of examples of that, including a Powerglove track). I hate to say this but dubstep doesn't seem to fit it very well.
