just so you know, everyone else here pulls sets from smogon (except exlight maybe?), it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least take a look at what smogon says if you plan on doing more of these tournaments

Sometimes I pick stuff from there, but I usually prefer to make my own original sets yea

but yea using pre-made sets from competitive analysis sites like Smogon is a good start
I'd recommend just learn the basics of the game and figure out whatever works for you though
