Definitely Echoes of Wisdom. Although that's the only game I bought last year. But I enjoyed every sec from the game.

I spent 1000 hours+* playing MGS5 which is a 2015 game. Can't give the GOTY to Stellar Blade either. It didn't fulfill my needs as a sci-fi fan.
I was really excited playing TOTK and have put nearly 400 hours into the game.
My 2023 GOTY would be Armored Cored VI: Fires of Rubicon. Had a blast chasing that platinum trophy.
If I can go with Metal Gear Solid 5 then that would be it. I had tons of fun and still chasing the platinum trophy.
More like the platinum trophy is coming to me. It's nerve breaking and I don't have a lot of time to play. (Most of the hours ingame went away from the screen, leaving my soldiers mining for materials to expand my bases or deployed on missions)

Did not game much last year, but Echoes of Wisdom was such a surprise that I'd have to pick it. I also loved Balatro but that's not Goty. Haven't finished Astro Bot but it is indeed very fun. Most of the other games I played last year were not good tbh (Brothership, Outlaws, etc.)
