Holiday 2020 is when we know the next-gen consoles will be released, and we've received quite a bit of information (apart from price) about them and the games that will be released. But there are a lot of people who, no matter how good the consoles and their games are at launch, will wait a year or so until a price drop or for more games to be released. So where are you on this? Will you get your console of choice on day one? Or will you wait for better games and a better price that will eventually come?
For me, the biggest factor will be price. Money is hard to come by, and a $400-500 console is something that I can't justify even with backwards compatibility with the entire PS4 library, especially since I have no idea about what Nintendo might do concerning a console revision for the Switch, or if that will happen at all this year. Nintendo takes top priority for me in my console and game purchases, so not knowing what might be announced is reason enough to hold off.
