Will regional forms be a mainstay for future generations?

Pokemon Sun and Moon were the first games to have regional forms; Pokemon of varying designs and types than their original forms such as an ice type Vulpix.

In the latest trailer for Sword and Shield it was revealed that Galar would have its own regional forms just as Alola did.

Despite what your opinions of regional form are, do you think that future generations and new regions will have new regional forms going forward?

I think regional variants are here to stay. It's a lot easier to recolor an existing Pokémon and change its design a little than to come up with a brand new creature.

I hope so, the reasoning for them have been fascinating. Our world could sure use Alolan Grimer/Muk and Galorian Wheezing.
