WiiU To Use Blu'Ray?

Does anyone think there's any chance of this? I mean all Nintendo has been talking about is how amazing the WiiU will look. Blu'Ray disks could give them so much more to work with. Just a theory, but what do you guys think?

EDIT: Satotu Iwata has confirmed WiiU will not use Blu'ray.

I highly doubt they'll use bluray discs. Think about it, the last two console they had they created their own disc system. They did this to prevent pirating. I doubt they'll get rid of discs, and so i believe they'll create their own HD Optical disc that will work just fine.

Yeah I don't see the WiiU using Blu-Ray and as much as I would like it to be, it doesn't matter to me since I have a PS3 that already does. It would be just pretty cool though to have an extra added feature to it.

Wii U will not use Blu-Ray but rather 12 cm "proprietary high-density optical discs" (25GB per layer). This was confirmed when Nintendo released the system's tech specs at E3 2011.
