Why the "official" Timeline Looks Like It Does

Maybe it's not a what-if scenario, you can easily see it as a split created every time link travels to the past by replacing the master sword, following this logic, in the adult timeline, link disappears for seven years, reapears and kills Ganon, in the child timeline, link never time-traveled and in the decline timeline, link disapeared seven years, reapeared, and then disapeared.

Except that a) the Historia states it's a what-if, b) Song of Storms paradox, and c) MS time travel is not described like that in the game - it's described linearly.

Umm, well, I agree with a) and c), but the song of storms paradox is... I don't know

but if you think about it then the "official" one is the what-if, since it's games came first, OoT was a prequel that ended up contradicting its sequels.
