Why Did They Change the Sword Design in the E3 2011?

Remember in the 2010 Skyward gameplay right and how the Skyward Sword looked almost exactly like the Master Sword right? Why in the E3 2011 trailer did they make the sword with no wings and green? Tell me what you know and why the sword looks different!

Beyond all that, I think Phi will power up Link's starter sword (the Skyloftian Sword) by sort of merging with it (just not all the way), giving it its new hilt and blue gem (which she has on her chest). Later it will become the Master Sword along the lines of what I said in that thread.

Well, I'm sure Nintendo has changed quite a few things since last year. This is just one of the things we saw change. Also, what JJ said, the sword will evolve and will constantly be changing.

The Skyward Sword eventually becomes the Master Sword, Link helps forge it.
