play through the game up to where you get you tunic and notice a difference, did you get it? no? well here let me help you, in the beginning of the game, Link has brown hair, but when he gets his tunic he suddenly has blonde hair, just a quick little something to notice

I looked up some screenshots. And unless you mean that that is the only time it turns blond then maybe. I saw screenshots where his hair didn't change at all from before and after. I will have to play and see if during that scene it is blond but it is doubtful. Correct me if I am wrong he is aglow from getting the hero's clothes and that bit of extra light may be lighting up his hair. Or as a theory aspect, could be the Hero awakening in him which for the moment turns his hair blond.

I've never noticed this. I'm pretty sure his hair stays the same color, which would be a dark blond. It could be the color difference in the clothes. Link starts in a lighter outfit and then gets the typical green tunic which happens to be much darker. The darker color could make the hair seem lighter. It could also just be the lighting in the scene.

I never noticed this, but looking at the cutscene again, I think it just happens to be the lighting in the area that causes Links hair to glow blonde. The light coming from Faron is very bright and causes the spring itself to glow gold. So I believe it is just a coincidence that his hair looks blonde. it still is the same colour, just lighting is affecting how it looks.

I'm not sure where that second picture is from, but I don't think it's legit. It looks edited. I don't think you edited it, but I think the website did. Reason being, a) look at the background. Hyrule Field is never that empty, and b) look at the graphics of Link and Epona. It seems like someone copy and pasted that onto a different background of Hyrule.

ANYWAY, I know what you're thinking, about his hair and all. Maybe it is lighter. But, I think it is in your head. When we see people wearing light clothes (i.e. farm hand's clothes), or in a bright room, their hair appears darker, because of how it contrasts compared to the light around it. And vise versa. When Link is in the green tunic, which is much darker than the clothes he previously wore, his hair appears lighter, because it contrats with the dark green.

I've never seen that second picture before. It may or may not be edited, but it's not from the game. Link looks like he did in the beta screenshots. I'm pretty sure his hair was lighter in those than what appeared in the game.

yea that's why i said to play the game first cause i couldn't find an accurate picture of Link with the tnic in gameplay, just begin the game and always noticethe color of his hair and reemember it, now when you get to when you get the tunic, look back at his hair and you'll see the difference, and it's not cause of the lghting

Like some of the others here, I do not notice a change in hair color. This might be due to the amount of light available is different areas, perhaps. Like when Link is near a Light Spirit, and they emit a lot of light, so some colors might appear to be lighter and/or brighter.
