undoubtedly. A link to the past has borderline frustrating combat and a handful of infamously difficult or tedious bosses (moldorm, mothula, blind) whereas the hardest thing about a link between worlds is the stupid baseball minigame

Yes, by many metrics. I actually find AlttP to be the second-most difficult Zelda game overall, behind Zelda II, while ALBW is relatively easy and very accessible. Not that it's a bad game, in fact I prefer it over its predecessor, but it's by far the easier of the two.

I may not have played Albw but I have played Alttp and that has some very difficult bits of combat and movement. But not as hard as Zelda 2.

Actually, ALBW is the hardest Zelda game...

... to 100%. There's a Cucco dodging minigame that gives you a special award if you survive 999 seconds, so 16 minutes and 39 seconds of non-stop concentration.
Zelda II can't compete with that.

It's a unique award that you can only get by accomplishing a feat in a minigame, how is that not a 100% requirement?

A good rule of thumb is that the later the games released, the easier they tend to be as a whole. The first 3 games are hands down the most difficult, while the Switch Zeldas have been easy to a fault. Being the fourth most recent mainline Zelda and the first one to start leaning into the “sacrifice complexity for the sake of freedom” direction Aonuma has insisted upon as of late, LBW is naturally on the easier side of things.
