SDoIT isn't one of my favorite DT albums (I prefer their earlier stuff), but it does have some highlights. Apart from the brilliant title track, my favorite on SDoIT is easily Blind Faith, which just balances soft and heavy really well.

What's your favorite song in the 12 Step Suite? Mine is probably The Root of All Evil from Octavarium, but I also enjoy This Dying Soul, which is really heavy.

I've been digging into the earlier stuff that didn't make it onto their albums lately, which is also worth hearing. Been a DT fan since '05, but some of this is new to me. If you haven't listened to "Cleaning Out the Closet," you're missing some of their best material! Highly recommended. While I enjoy their harder material, their early ballads are so calming...they're a prog metal band, but they really know how to quiet down too. The song in the video is the sonic equivalent of a rush of cool water.

Glad to see another Iron Maiden-turned-Dream Theater fan. :)

Yeah I wasn't too fond of SDoIT but I did enjoy the title track, The Glass Prison, and Blind Faith. I much prefer their earlier stuff but I do believe I like Dream Theater overall through out their time as a band. The only album I don't quite enjoy as much as the others is Falling Into Infinity, but even that had highlights (New Millennium, Lines in the Sand, Trial of Tears).

Oh gosh my favorite? I'm not quite sure, I'm very torn between The Root of All Evil, This Dying Soul, and The Glass Prison. I'll just say The Root of All Evil now since I'm really digging Octavarium currently.

I really enjoy early DT, Images & Words and Awake are absolute masterpieces, I tend to prefer Awake over I&W. Ah man, I got my girlfriend into DT because of their ballads, she really enjoys Octavarium as a whole though. Despite being a prog metal band, they can have this beautiful side to their music (Space Dye Vest, The Answer Lies Within, etc).

My first DT album was Images & Words and when I first listened to it.. I didn't truly appreciate it sadly so I got off DT for awhile until I picked up Train of Thought which really got me into the band. I really enjoy all their music now. All of it, the prog side, the metal side, just DT. I am listening to A Dramatic Turn of Events and even though it's sad to see Mike Portnoy gone, I still enjoy it. Especially this song.

Not sure if we have any K-Pop fans on ZD, but I've been loving this song lately.

Sorry Kaz, I'm too busy listening to the awesomeness of S.M. the Ballad to partake in 4Minute. Their vocals are too weak for my liking anyway. :P
