I as much as I love Sinnoh I don't like how slow Diamond and Pearl feels sometimes, also Defog should have never existed. Other than that they were still fun games.

I'd say gen 6... It was just way too easy, and a bit too few new pokémon (I don't care about megas). The music was nothing special (only memorable song to me is the Diantha Battle Theme) and the villains were predictable and boring

I agree, defog especially is very frustrating to deal with as an HM. Diamond and Pearl are the only games where I feel like I need two HM slaves in order to navigate, plus a Rock Climber. Its too much. Heart Gold and Soul Silver also disappointed me immensely, and I probably would've stopped playing Pokemon if I didn't end up enjoying Gen 5 so much.

Black and White, after the Champion was defeated by N, it completely took away the whole point to defeating "the regions strongest trainer" since he was already defeated during the story. Once you beat N that was basically it, the League was pathetic. Not to mention the region has the most odd furniture and food styled Pokémon and neither of it's trainer choices accompanied Ash in the anime or appeared in the anime whatsoever which was a first.
