There was a (actually several) wars over the Triforce, and then Rauru seals it away by constructing the Temple of Time. The Interloper War (which is actually several conflicts) took place when the word of the Sacred Realm spread. Rauru sealed the Sacred Realm when people already knew of, and had fought over, the Triforce. Ergo, the Interloper War took place before the sealing of the Sacred Realm.

But Lanayru clearly states that word spread through Hyrule which means Hyrule was already established by the time the interloper war happened. According to the timeline, the sacred realm was sealed before Hyrue Kingdom was established. If the interloper war was before the sealing, how could it happen in Hyrule if Hyrule doesn't exist yet?

Also, that Hyrule Historia quote says there was a neverending struggle. You can't derive several great wars from a neverending struggle, that's a pretty big leap. Especially since only one great war was recorded before OoT (the HCW)

The original Japanese might indicate that Hyrule is the name for the holy land the people is fighting over (the Sacred Realm is not separated from Hyrule in the original text), rather than a proper state.

There are several wars and conflcits mentioned in the Historia, Nevertheless, the IntWar is a war over the Triforce, which there is one in the Historia. The HCW is not described as a war over the Triforce. The only war was fought over the Triforce is the Interloper War. Note that the SR is sealed after this war, which further strengthens the idea that this war is the IW.

Peace continued through the land for a long time, but with a new era, a wave of chaos descended upon the land.

The almighty power of folklore was lusted over by many, many people and there was a never ending struggle over the Triforce.

Maybe such game could feature Link's father (and since there have been Link before OoT with green clothes, this "Link" could have it, too), preventing Ganondorf from doing something evil, like releasing Vaati. The Historia has a disclaimer that it can be retconned, so a story with little impact on OoT could be possible. Perhaps Ganondorf even could find out the legends of the Sacred Realm and the Spiritual Stones in this game. Maybe this Link could try to stop the outbreak of the "final" phase of the civil war, but fail.
