Where were Link and Zelda after Ganondorf was sealed?

So Ganonforf is sealed away. CURSE YOU... ZELDA! CURSE YOU... SAGES!" "CURSE YOU... Link! Now Link and Zelda are at some location that looks like the sky. So does anyone have an idea on what and where this place is? Could it be the Sacred Realm? A different section of the Chamber of Sages? Also remember the place where you fought Demise in Skyward Sword? It looked very similar to his battlefield. Same clouds and same sky. Do you think they could be the one and same? Also what do you think the purpose of this location is?

I think they just went with that backdrop because it was more majestic then the two standing around the ruins of Ganon's castle.
