Ocarina of Time When Kokiri Leave the Forest

See, when the Kokiri's are in the forest, they are protected the the Great Deku Tree and the forest itself, making them immortal in a sense. when they leave, they become mortal again and slowly age. why do you think the Kokiri are still young when you go back to the Forest as an Adult? Because they are immortal.

Then again, that's just what i think anyway... i could be dead wrong...

I like Djinns theory the most (but his Djinn, so what did you expect? :P) I think the thing about them growing old when leaving the forest is kinda silly, because then whats the difference of a hylian and a kokiri? also, When link returns to the forest as an adult, they don't recognise him because he has grown up, but if the kokiri could also grow up, then that wouldn't be that strange. I also don't think that the kokiri would give up their immortality for one party at Lon Lon ranch
