What story/character tropes do you dislike or hate?

Diversity in characters simply for the sake of diversity. Your character is part of the lgbt+ community? Great! But if that’s the only point of their character, it does more harm than good.
I also hate plot lines that rely on misunderstandings. It seems like the characters never want to let the others finish their sentence and explain what’s going on before blowing up and getting angry for no reason. It’s so dumb.

oh also these are two tropy scenarios that I find really annoying

the main character is about to do something dumb, their friends are warning them repeatedly that it's dumb, main character ignores them and does it anyway, consequences happen, "oh, I should have listened to you"
ahem, SONIC LOST WORLD

when the character is clearly going through something or something is happening to them, their friend asks if they're ok or what's wrong, they say "nothing" and move on.....FREAKING TELL THEM, IT WILL MAKES THINGS EASIER
