I'll admit that I'm not the biggest fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, however, the Joker theme from The Dark Knight tops my list of Halloween track list songs. Why? The calm, almost soothing rhythm of the beginning fades in a rapid perversion of beats as the music reaches its climax. The Joker is among the most demented characters in entertainment history with the power to chide a hero's approach and compel him to question his undertaking. It's fitting therefore that such a refreshing antagonist receives an uncharacteristically chilling theme song.
