The Ballad of the Goddess. It is an epic and powerful peace that gets you in a great mood. The first time I heard it backwards, my mind was blown. I just can't believe how awesome it was.

I loved the Ballad of the Goddess (main theme), Fi's Gratitude (Fi's Theme), and Romance in the Air (Romance theme) the best. Every single piece of music in this game was breathtaking, but these 3 really take the cake.

Progressive, and filled with melodic ascending/descending action in the form of amazing ostinatos. <3 Shame I can't relive this battle in the Lightning Round--typically, I only would fight bosses over again just to savor the battle music. Epic battle music always makes me happy.

Heh, was tempted to post that mash-up. I uploaded a mix very much the same, took it down and uploaded it again later. That one has garnered more views than mine. Awww.

Whatevs. Thumbs up to you, sir.

My favorites are the three Songs for opening the Silent realms.

Farore's Courage, is one that I feel like I've heard before... almost makes you want to sing in french. :P

Nayru's Wisdom, though a little repetitive, sounds neat and orderly.

Din's power, I feel like this should be associated with the Gerudo, I also feel like I've heard it in another game.

I didn't like SS's music at first because I felt like there weren't a ton of memorable songs, but after listening to stuff on Youtube, I began to realize that SS's soundtrack has a lot of gems to contribute to the glowing Zelda repretoire. Unfortunately, most of the really memorable melodies are cinematic; they only play once or twice in the entire game, so they're extremely easy to overlook.

-Follow Fi (the song that plays when Link follows her to the inside of the Goddess statue for the first time. If you don't recognize the title listen to it immediately!!!!)
-Crimson Loftwing (most romance-y song in the game, possibly the most romance-y piece of music I've ever heard. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside)
-Romance in the Air (more friendship-y than romance. Fits Link and Zelda's "childhood besties" relationship perfectly)
-Legend of Skyloft (the intro cutscene music, really unique and dramatic)
-The end credits music
-The melody that plays in Skyloft (but I like the version in the end credits better than the one that plays in-game)
-Zelda's singing!!!

Ooo... a chance to show off my twisted opinions!

Yes, the Faron Silent Realm. It managed to turn a sweet, catchy, adventurous melody into something... dark. Shady. Intimidating. My favorite kind of song... and it was so perfect for the setting. Faron Reigon, once something big and beautiful and bold, now dark and mysterious. Frightening. Any misstep could send you running, weaponless, until a mechanical thing that moves way too smoothly to be the machine ti is destroys your soul.

And along those lines...

You knew it was coming. RUN FOR IT.

Finally, once you finish all this crap... Oh wait. you're not done at all! OOPS MY BAD. But this time, it's your home that's transformed into this dark and terrible blue realm. Yes... Skyloft. Oops, spoilers.

It was... too... perfect... I screamed when I realized it. I screamed a lot in this one. And this song gives me cold chills...not good chills.

Let's be a bit more... peaceful, shall we?

Best. Version of this song. EVER... Good, warm chills here. And the context... oh, the story just broke my heart. This song is plain heartbreaking. It also has this way of making you look back at the past, when you first heard it in ALttP, when it made you relax in OoT and symbolized peace, when it appeared countless times with the beautiful Princess... It hearkens to the happiness of the past, and to the sadness of today.

One more: Fi's Gratitude. You don't need me here. You know what I mean, it's in here already.

Wait, I was wrong... But it's still peaceful if that's what you want, yes.

This song... oh holy Nayru... this song.

Made me want the game to have voice acting so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. @_@

I was thinking that initially too, but then I realized it would have ruined the game. Zelda needs to stick to tradition. If they put voice acting in, it would have disappointed many core Zelda fans (me included) because it just wouldn't be Zelda. Voice acting is one of the few things I never want to see in a Zelda game.
I would have at least liked it if the text was skippable though...

Anyway, as for my favourite songs from SS...

It's a tie between these ones. (in spoiler tags so they don't take up so much room)

Fi's Gratitude

Ghirahim's Theme

I think the top one is my overall favourite though.

*ahem* Voice Acting and Zelda

I don't mean to get off topic, but this is just something I can't overlook, as the argument really irritates me.

Thanks for all of that feedback! I see that some of us have the same favorites. I'm going to start a new thread asking what your favorite Zelda Music of all time is. That means that the music can be from any Zelda game.
