I was trying to draw earlier when my laptop started going crazy. First it was just slow- then my undo button stopped working, it kept changing my layer color, it wouldn't let me use the mouse cursor, and the keyboard was spamming a continuous string of the letter b. I shut it off, waited a while and now it's fine.

The problem is, now my drawing tablet is frozen. I restarted my computer and it's still not working. I'm slightly panicking, hopefully by tomorrow it'll be working again. But if it's broken I have no clue what I'll do. I can't afford to get a new one rn, and as much as I enjoy drawing on paper, I don't want to be doing that all the time. I actually physically can't, since it hurts my hand and wrist more than tablet art does. Here's hoping it'll be okay

Good news, I was able to fix my tablet!! I ended up having to uninstall and re download the Huion Driver because reasons(?). Reseting my button shortcuts was a pain but now it works and I can art so I am very happy.

I work at a farm supply store that occasionally gets live animals. tomorrow we're getting highland calves. we're supposed to keep it on the low, but we have an enclosure set out from previous animals and an empty pen raises questions.

a mom with kids was checking out and she asked about it. I leaned in and whispered what it was and she was like "oh my gosh, we HAVE to come back tomorrow." all of her kids were asking what the animals were, but she didn't tell them because i had told her that it was a secret. definitely made my day.

(although I'll be honest, I mostly told her because one of her kids was a girl with cancer; she had a small container on her back with equipment from the chemo port and a head wrap. I hope she's able to see the calves tomorrow)

Oh neat, I have seen chickens for sale at stores like that. Calves! It would be fun to work with livestock.

My birthday has been going very well so far! This year it's pretty low-key, I've just been chilling at home. I had some very yummy cheesecake earlier. My parents got me a new purse, switch controller, Komi Can't Communicate book 1, and an old Zelda II trading card (I may post a picture of it later). My sister and her husband also came to visit, she got me a cosplay outfit of Chihiro from Spirited Away along with the promise of going to an anime convention with me later this year. She's planning to dress as No Face lol.
So yeah, it's fun! I still have a few things planned this week, such as lunch with my Grandpa and karaoke with some friends of mine. I honestly can't wait.
