@Link&Midna Polycarp and the supposed disciples of the Apostles (there is no Scripture to confirm any of them save Clement but he never called a disciple of the Apostle Paul, The Apostle John wrote three letters [1, 2 and 3 John] and never mentions Polycarp, when the Apostle Paul in his letters mentions Timothy, Philip, and others). These alleged disciples of the Apostles (Patristic Fathers) wrote very contradictory beliefs to what was in Scripture. These Apostolic Fathers as they are called are dangerous because their doctrines were different from the Apostles Teaching, which is teaching the church devoted themselves to in Acts, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." (Acts 2:42), and "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:8-9). I was trying to pin point when things went awry in the church's teaching that would eventually lead to doctrines The Reformation had to address, and it starts circa 100-131 A.D., which if you subtract when Jesus Ascended in 33 A.D., comes to 67yrs after Christ if you go by 100 A.D. date of Polycarp.
