Avenged Sevenfold. I've heared 3 songs of theirs before, and liked them, but never heard more than that. But, my best friend Brenton, like a lot of rock and metal I never really listened to. He has Rock Band Blitz and downloaded a few of their songs and I just really like their sound! Their sound is very original and it makes the chemicals in my brain go to the happy setting whenever I hear their choruses to their songs!

I'm starting to really like them.

No matter how far out I branch my musical tastes, I always come right back to the post-rock genre. It's been an on-going obsession of mine for quite some time -- I can never seem to get enough of it. Namely Russian Circles, but peppered with a little Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, God Is An Astronaut, 65daysofstatic, Mono and Sigur Rós. I could go on and on and on, but I'll cut myself off here.

Right now, my current music obsession is none other than the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack. It is one of my personal favorite soundtracks that I have been blessed to have listen to in my life! ^^

I don't know if some of those count as 'classic' though. :P

Getting really into Caribou (he also goes by Manitoba). He's got some really good electronic music that's actually really cheery and fun to listen to, even without any sort of lyrics. I think I'm going through the electronic music phase of my life. :D

Metallica is classic thrash metal, faith no more is a bit to modern, they came out in the late 90's

This is not classic but I'm listening to a lot of seether, pearl jam, alice in chains, stained, disturbed. Just grungey stuff.

I was looking up Hitomi Kuroishi on some website and I found Akiko Shikata in the list of similar artists. Her music has some interesting vocals and she arranges a lot of cool orgel (musicbox) covers.
