What is a song that has impacted your life for good or bad or what is your favorite song that has a real impact on you today?

For me I'll go with Understand by Boywithuke. Boywithuke has changed my life for the better, and even though a lot of people say it's cringy and for younger kids, he has helped me out of a lot of lows in my life. Understand is the first song of his that I ever heard, and is still my favorite song today.

I suppose I could say Galneryus because they introduced me to a genre I never would've considered otherwise back in 2022, but I wouldn't say it impacted my life in an emotional sense. There's actually not many songs that affect me in that way, if it's not connected to a scene in a movie or game or something like that.

But one song that did move me to tears (sobbing actually) was Hell Together by David Archuleta

It really encapsulates all the different feelings I had as I came to terms with losing faith in the religion I grew up in
still have them

This song by WASP.

The chorus is actually quite heart-wrenching, as their album The Crimson Idol is about an abused kid that grows up to be a rockstar to seek the approval of their parents, and when they disown him, he commits suicide.

The chorus is:

"There is no love to shelter me.
Only love, love will set me free."

This song, this very video, changed my life in a way I couldn't have expected. By some fluke of an algorithm I found it at a time I needed it. I also needed to see this band live. Saw them on their first headlining tour where I discovered another of my favorite bands opening for them. I had been to a couple of arena shows before this, but seeing them at a venue that was mostly general admission standing room had me head over heels in love with that experience. I now regularly go to shows and can't imagine missing out on more because I gave into thoughts that none of this was worth it.
