What Exactly is Gold, and What Can I Use It For?

Just me being ever curiouser about the forums. I noticed that some users had gold. I started accumulating my own through mysterious ways that I don't know. I have a feeling I know what it's for, but I want to be sure... Thanks!

Gold is the forum's big cash money wad (currency). You gain it by posting in threads, and by making threads. 5 gold for posting in a thread, 10 gold for making a thread. You can use Gold to buy things in the Gift Shop and VBShop.

O So popular!) Thanks. I read around on the other thread, (Hence your new likes, Dracomajora.) Adding onto it, you should be able to choose what your currency is displayed as. Maybe.
