What Colour Do You See Certain Decades As?

This is gonna be a tough one to explain. We sometimes think of abstract things in association with specific colours. Like, if you close your eyes and think of the word "Monday", a colour, or emotion or something might come with the thought. Almost like you associate a mood or memory to the generalisation of what you feel a "Monday" is.

If you understand what I mean then my question to you is what colour do you see or feel or whatever when you think of certain decades?

For example, I see the 1960s as Red, the 1970s as Green and I see the 1980s as Blue.

I couldn't possibly tell you why, of course, but just close you eyes, think of a decade and tell us what colour you see, if any.

When I think of 1990s, I honestly see nothing but sepia tone, which closest matches Gold.

When I think of the 2000s, I see black and white.

the 80s are fuchsia. Ostentatious excess. Giant glasses. Perms. Shoulder pads in women's fashion. Zubaz. Hair metal. Primetime soap operas.

The 1930's: Black, primarily because of the depression.

The 1940's: Red, a color I associate with war.

The 1950's: Gray. Not sure why. Maybe because it's not very interesting or doesn't stand out much.

The 1960's: Yellow, or some funky psychedelic combination.

The 1970's: Olive green. Some of the decor from this decade used this color.

The 1980's: Gold- I associate this decade with materialism.

The 1990's: Orange. No idea why. It's just the first thing that came to mind.

The 2000's: Blue or silver. I associate this decade with lots of new technologies in way of Internet and computers and those were the colors I associated with that.

Hm.

1950s- faded browns, yellows, grays, whites. Like an old photograph.
1960s- Melded, blended rainbow.
1970s- Creme and natural blues, greens, reds.
1980s- I guess I agree with Grumpy's Fuchsia
1990s- Denim blue
2000s- Silver
2010s- White and black
