I just realized I’ve never fought gloom hands while riding Mineru. Now I’m heading to Mekar Island ti see how that works

I was working on a challenge run where I take all compendium pictures by hand without paying for any.
But getting the pristine weapons is insanely tedious so I've taken a long sabbatical.

Oh, I tried doing that in BOTW but never finished, then damn birds and bugs!

Oh I got all of those, those were fun.

No, there's two roadblocks here that murder your motivation.
One is missables; stuff like the muck like like miniboss that shows up once and then never again. The run-killers. Get them first.
The other is pristine weapons. They don't appear unless you've broken their overworld counterpart once. No normal player would typically break a feathered spear in their run though, and even once they did, they may not encounter the pristine weapon.
Why? Because the soldier ghosts in the depths are equipped with trash tier pristine weapons the first time you pass em, so you don't pick those weapons up. But they keep holding them.
So you have to physically take all their garbo weapons and toss em before they can hold new ones.

There's just nothing natural about this.

Ah, got it. I got in the habit of picking up and dropping all ghost weapons in the Gerudo depths for pristine Gerudo steel to spawn but I never really paid much attention to the others.

I actually did not know that about the soldier ghost weapons. I'll keep that in mind... my most recent run I also tried to take all compendium pics manually but those two roadblocks are the exact ones that had me shelling out rupees in the end lol.

Mildly annoyed that I came back to me previous save but I knew any way.

Need 6 scales, 6 claws, 6 fangs from Farosh, the 15 spikes are easy at least and already have more than enough.
2 down with 16 more to go at 10 minute intervals.
And can confirm that a blood moon does not reset your dragon time.

It took two tours in the depths and on up above to get all 6 scales.
Noe the fun part is fangs and claws and hoping I get the timing right to snag them before they shoot off and still ride the gust back on.

Got impatient and shot at a claw while coming out of the depths, missed grabbing it and it despawned.

Holy smokes I just wasted time grinding all on Farosh when I needed to be grinding all three dragons!

Holy Double Smokes! I forgot the horns!

Not sure, I’ve never figured out the difference between fire and heat or any of the other elementals.
