Boss blamed me for some incident that likely was the new security guard's... but I also don't want the poor dude to be sacked for it, as he's already in hot water for other hiccups during his training, so I took the blame. A door was left unlocked; which, I'm not sure how given I like to test them several times before I leave- AND this door has been acting up this week. It's currently under repairs & sticking keys. It was also left unlocked last year from a co-worker, which I had caught despite not working that night because I went by & tested the door- something I do out of paranoia, so it's EASY to leave improperly locked... we know it's a problem-door. I spoke to him personally after I was chewed out & he admitted he probably made a mistake during his rounds, since he said he was not aware that the door was having issues right now (likely head of security didn't know to tell him since he's been out this week). He's also new- so. Whatever. Next time I am going to FILM myself doing the door ELO fob test so I can't be blamed in that way... Still annoyed I got chewed out like that when we know the buzzer/lock is under repair right now & the lock itself is sticking/eating keys. It's literally under repair right now, come on. It's also something which should have been caught by the 2 other security guards there- so why am I getting SO chewed out when none of them also double-checked behind each other? Anyway...

Also caught flu, likely from the hundreds of children I worked with those 2 shifts, which, can't be helped, but I haven't had flu since I was about 10yo so it's kind of kicking my butt with the fatigue since I already have chronic fatigue & work my butt off from physical work at this job to begin with.
This is the last week where I'll have 3 days off in a row since they're opening hotel facilities where I work full-time, & I am NOT ready for it physically given how weirdly super busy opening week has been. I've definitely needed that extra day off for leg recovery, given I average about 10 miles of walking a day over a busy week (as calculated from my trackers). The money will be very nice, but not the drama.

Idk, man I am tired. I wanted a nice, slow lead up to a busy summer season & I know for sure I am not getting that now & it has me feeling defeated already, even though this is my third year working here. There's been some other major incidents which I am not adding here, but it just feels like it's been too much big junk far too fast this year already, so the peak of summer is probably going to be the worst of the worst (arrests in the water park again, etc). Man- I am not ready for it. And this is on top of the physical threats I got earlier in the month that I need to watch out for, yay...

I don't use it for essays or ****, just to **** around with Veed, DALL-E and ChatGPT. I'll also use it for ideas and research.

I'd be careful about using it for research, ChatGPT is known for making up things that aren't true, and making up sources that don't exist (I know tone doesn't always work well online, so just want to clarify this as a genuine concern! Not trying to argue)

I always check the sources for more detail, I will never will take what it says at face value for school projects, at least.

Really annoys me that dishonest people who can transcribe well take somebody's own musical ideas, prerecord the audio, mime playing the guitar, and then get rewarded with views, guitar endorsements, and success.

Yet talentless and uncreative and dishonest musicians, who's entire Instagram feed is stolen material, get more views than the actual creative musicians that came up with these lines on the spot?

Mere hundreds of views, yet he gets millions of views.

Do we, as a society, like to reward dishonesty? If so, then why are we shocked that you found out a dishonest person is..... well.... dishonest?

I say stealing musical ideas and claiming them as your own, without crediting the artist, is wrong. You can do cheeky musical quotes like that, but ripping it off wholesale?

Nah, that just don't sit right with me.
