Snake (I'm still betting he's coming to the party). I want to see different games homaged that we haven't gotten a chance to see yet. It's a great series with a lot of years under its belt and a lot of tradition. It fits right in Smash Bros.

Luigi- a costume where he constantly Death Stares at his opponents.
Charizard- Charizardite Y costume- it would be an interesting addition, plus the Y transformation has been totally shafted so far.
Marth- Give him Chrom's outfit from Awakening. It would be a nice homage, and Chrom is his descendant.
Yoshi- yarn skin. It would be a good tie-in to the upcoming game.
Link- please give us the ability to cycle between the SS, TP, and HW versions of him. They're all already made for HD in HW.
Captain Falcon- please give this guy an outfit that is colored like Captain America, with '76 on his back. I'm not sure why, but I really want to see a patriotic Captain Falcon in red, white, and blue.
Ness- I want to see this guy dressed up like one of the Runaway Five. You know, like the Blues Bros. I recently played Earthbound not very long ago for the first time and I think would be a cool homage to a part of that deliciously odd game. I mean we even saw them in the Melee opening sequence, so it would be a a good addition to the character in my mind.
Ah yes, when it comes to alternate costume discussions for the upcoming Smash Bros., people will always be ecstatic and come up with either formal or informal alternate costumes. What I mean by formal and informal, formal means that it ties in with the character hand-in-hand, usually pertaining to the game the character comes from. Informal means anything and everything to make the character look physically different to the point that the model doesn't represent the selected character anymore. Call me harsh but an alternate costume has to fit with the character without altering the character drastically. With that said, here's my list of alternative costumes that would seem plausible for Smash 4 based on the playable characters that are confirmed as of today:
Mario - Dr. Mario
Donkey Kong - Boxing gloves (Punch-Out!! Wii)
Link - A "real" Dark/Shadow Link (just a silhouette almost to something as Mr. Game & Watch)
Fox - alternate outfits from previous games (Assault, Command, Adventures, etc.)
Luigi - Mr. L
Captain Falcon - Black Shadow or Blood Falcon
Bowser - Dry Bowser
Peach - Shadow Queen (from Paper Mario & The Thousand Year Door)
Sonic - Shadow-based skin (not necessarily make Sonic look exactly like Shadow, but give him at least the aesthetics of Shadow's design)
Toon Link - Wind Waker pajamas
Zero Suit Samus -Green hair ZSS (NES palette)
Ike - Awakening appearance
Mega Man - Proto Man or Bass designs
Pac-Man - Ms. Pac-Man

While I like the creativity behind these alternate costumes, most of them seem very impractical and most likely to be in the game. Here's what I mean.
Snake:
Assuming he will return to the game, these costumes actually will do nicely and probably one of the few if not the only set of alternate costumes from your list that I can agree on.
Luigi:
If you want a costume that allows him to give people a death stare, he is already wearing it. It's his usual attire that we see him wearing in every Mario and Smash Bros. game. Now if you want him to give him death stares, that is going to be a problem as Mario Kart 8 was in development long after Smash Bros. 4 started development.
Charizard:
Again much like Luigi, Charizard is already wearing the color palette for Charizard Y. If you are talking about the Final Smash for Charizard however, it still wouldn't work as an alternate costume doesn't change the Final Smash. Take for example Wario and Bowser in this scenario. No matter what color that you may pick for Wario or Bowser, when they use their respective Final Smash, the color scheme doesn't change based on the color that you picked before the battle began. It really makes no sense to give Charizard a Charizard Y costume with the Final Smash of Charizard X.
Marth:
It's possible to give Marth Chrom's outfit from Awakening, but if anything Ike would be the better candidate considering how similar Chrom and Ike appear especially with Ike's Radiant Dawn model.
Yoshi
Much like Mario Kart, Yarn Yoshi started development later than Smash 4. While it would be cool to see, the fact that Yoshi's Wooly World won't be released until next year in 2015, it would be an unnecessary alternate costume for Yoshi as we don't know the exact date for Wooly World which could be released as early as April. That's quite a long time between Smash 4 and Wooly World.
Link:
Technically Link is a combination between Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess Link in this iteration of Smash Bros. Considering that Zelda is returning as her TP variant, you say that Link does retain his appearance from TP but given the color and design closer to Skyward Sword, hence why Link looks more cartoonish compared to Brawl. Link will also be given the alternate costume of having his tunic match the colors of Link's starting attire in Skyward Sword. As for Hyrule Warriors, it was developed way too late in development. We barely knew about Hyrule Warriors this past December. That's six months after Smash 4 was revealed at E3 2013. I personally don't see Link having a costume based on Hyrule Warriors.
Captain Falcon
Sorry to say this, but that's not going to happen. The only reason why Mario got an "American" design was because it is based on the design that Mario was wearing on NES Open Golf. If Sakurai were to give C. Falcon a design to look similar to Captain Falcon, that could be seen as favoritism and that would mean everyone else that don't reside in the States would want to see their own nation be represented to some degree.
Ness
That's actually an interesting idea. Seeing Ness wear the design of the Runaway Five (for those that may not know who these are, it's those two people cloaked similar to the Blue Bros. in the Melee intro just before Ness comes out of the portal) as it could tie-in to Earthbound which is where Ness comes from.
