Welcome to the Golden Key Awards!
The Golden Key Awards are a way to celebrate, and to show honor to those who have a unique and outstanding personality; great dedicated users; whether knowledgeable, artistic, active, or kind; who deserve to be honored in the entire Forum.
Last year, we were known as the Golden Rupee Awards, in celebration of Zelda Dungeon's 10th Anniversary. Now, we are hosting an Awards Contest once again, in order for this to become a tradition and to promote fellowship in our forum!
Dedication
In the words of K4KING: The GKA, rather the GRAs, The Golden Rupee Awards was started by TreeHuggerPanda. The idea came from a Shoutbox Conversation. She wanted to celebrate ZD's 10 anniversary through a way of awarding. Everyone liked the idea and many users banded together to start the first one. As soon as the GRAs ended, she left it to me, K4KING to handle it, when in fact, I left it to the People I know who can do an even better job than me. TreeHuggerPanda, Po, Ms. Pandamonium, Thank you. I dedicate this, and all succeeding events to you.
I, Nicole, would also like to thank the lovely Destiny for coordinating this year's competition. Des, we are eternally grateful to you and we appreciate all the stress you put on yourself while undertaking this project. Thank you so much.

Rules
1. You cannot nominate yourself. If you do so, the nomination will be ignored.
2. You cannot nominate or vote for banned members.
3. You can only nominate or vote for the same member twice in different categories.
4. A member can win a maximum of two awards. If a user wins more than two, they will be allowed to decide which award(s) to give to keep in their desired category.
5. Judges may be nominated.
6. You cannot ask friends to nominate you. Nominations must not be biased or unfair, so try to be as impartial as possible.
7. If a category has only one nominee overall, that person will win the category by default.
8. A member may withdraw from the awards or a specific category if he/she consults a judge; meaning that any nominations for the person in the awards overall or in the specified category will not be counted.
9. You can choose not to nominate members for certain categories. It's entirely up to you which categories you actually nominate people for.
10. You may nominate a maximum of three members in one category.
11. You can only post ONCE in the nomination thread. You may edit your nominees.
Anyone who is found to be in violation of the GKA rules will receive a warning. Depending on the severity of the action, you may be barred from the competition upon a first offense.
The first round of the GKAs is the nomination round, in which YOU - the members of DGN - will nominate other users for awards! This round will be open until July 11th. In the second round, the judges will take the nominations and narrow them down to three finalists for each category. In the final round, you may vote on the finalists to determine the winner of each category!

Nominating Members:
The nomination thread is the place where you may post all of your nominees. You may also include a short paragraph as to why you think you are deserving of an award - sell yourself, basically. Have spirit!
Remember that you do not have to post in the thread to be eligible for nomination. Any all forum members can be nominated.
Below is a list of the categories in which you can nominate members to win. Simply copy and paste this list and replace the descriptions with the member you believe deserves the award. Have fun nominating!
Most Charismatic - The most charming or likable member.
Most Mysterious - A quiet member everyone sees, but knows nothing about.
Most Literate - Member who has shown to have excellent grammar and always uses correct punctuation.
Most Random - The most unpredictable user either in chat or in posts.
Best Comic Relief - Members who are funniest in most situations or conversations.
Most Helpful - Members who often report breaches of the rules or who are very helpful to members.
Best Advice - Forumer who is very active in making suggestions to improve the site or just gives good advice in general.
Most Active - Forum user who most actively participates in forum discussions.
Most Cheerful - Member who has shown to have a very positive attitude.
Most Laid Back - Someone who is cool, calm, and collected.
Most Reputable - A user who has been acknowledged to have great integrity.
Best Company - User who is always around and keeps things interesting.
Best Role-Player - Member who role-plays often and actively contributes to the Role-Playing section.
Best Artist - Member with the best drawing skills.
Best Graphic Artist - Member that makes the best graphics (signatures, avatars, etc.).
Best Writer - Forumer that writes the best stories and fan works.
Best Signature - Member who has the most creative or artistic signature.
Best Username - Member who has the most creative or most interesting username.
Best Poster - Member who has displayed a consistently high level of post quality throughout his/her existence in the Dungeon Gaming Network.
Most Active New User - The member that has joined within three months of the posting of this thread with the highest activity.
Best Theorist - Member who is the most adept in theorizing and has a wide array of knowledge in the subject. (Timeline Theories made by theorists are out of the question.)
Most Knowledgeable in Zelda - User who displays the most knowledge in Zelda lore and in the games themselves.
Most Knowledgeable in Pokémon - User who displays the most knowledge in Pokémon lore, in the Pokémon and the games themselves.
Most Knowledgeable in Darksiders - User who displays the most knowledge in Darksiders lore and in the games themselves.
Awards:
All members who win in a category will receive three things:
1. The pride of being a winner!
2. A super cool personalized Golden Key Awards userbar! (Made by our very own Kybyrian!) Here's the sample:
3. An award for your postbit! The postbit is the area to the left in which your avatar and other information is displayed. You will get a Golden Key Awards prize to display there! (Check under my avatar in the awards showcase to see what this would look like.)
Remember that this is for fun, so don't be afraid that you won't win! There are no losers if you try. Good luck, and BEGIN!
