One easy thing to do for song parody's is you just find things about whatver the song will be about (zelda) that are the same amount of syllables. it would not make sense if the corus went from:
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it

to:
we were totally not the ones who started the fire
the fire was always burning
ever since the beginning of time when the world was turning
no, we were totally not the ones who started the fire
nuh-uh no way we didnt light it
but even so, we tried to fight it.

I sat down and attempted to write lyrics pretaining to every Zelda game I've played. I paid attention to the original song's lyrics and their cadence and tried to make them all fit into each other. I do not know how successful I was.
