Not really. I think a book would cone off as really clumsy.

Zelda games don't really translate well to the page, authors always have to put their stamp on it and you can't with zelda

Technically you’re right. Manga and books are different. Manga are pretty much comics from Japan, books are written without the all the pictures. I always considered comics a type of book, but I guess I was wrong.

I feel like a book is pretty far from the right medium to convey what I love most about the series, but it's not impossible to surprise me.

I can't imagine any of the games can be well translated into a book series. The games have okay enough narratives but nothing interesting enough to be worthwhile without the gameplay. Dungeons and triumphs rarely work in any medium besides game.

A book series based in the world of Hyrule is one I can see potentially working, but its not necessarily something I'm clamoring for and doubt I'd even drop money for one.
