"Zelda, what's number 26?"
"m equals two x over two."
Link quickly scribbled down the answer to the last answer of his math homework.
"Now, " he thought, " some freetime." At least until nine thirty, which was curfew for the
knights in training. Except for the academy's seniors, who got an extra hour.
But Link and Zelda weren't seniors, and neither were Sheik and Fledge, the two
boys sitting across from them.
"So what do you wanna do Zelda?" They had been best friends since near birth, growing up
together in a small town filled with amazing adventures.
" We have two hours, you pick!" Zelda giggled while she motioned "two" using her fingers.
" I'm kind of hungry..." he mumbled, rubbing his lean stomach.
"Aren't you always?" Zelda said, a smile threatening to break onto her face.
"Alright we have... half an hour till the bazaar closes. Lets go get some food." Link nodded while standing to his feet. He turned to face Fledge and Sheik.
" Hey, you guys wanna come with us?" Fledge shook his head, messing his brown, straight hair up.
"It's me and Medli tonight for kitchen chores, I'm gonna get a head start. Thanks anyways."
Sheik tilted his head and did an almost smile that dazzled mostly... everyone. He sighed without opening his mouth and nodded. He blinked his fiercly red eyes and arose.
"Gully's mom is probably cooking something amazing!" Link said, jumping. They were nearly at the bazaar, it wasn't far to walk from the academy. Once inside, they turned left to reach Piper's small restaraunt portion of the bazaar. What had almost been a very becoming night instantly spiraled downhill. Groose, Cawlin and Strich, three mean boys from the academy were just about to leave. Groose, the leader of the ring, despised Link. So Strich and Cawlin did too.
Groose's hate was fueled by the fact that he was infatuated with Zelda, and hated the fact the attention she gave to Link. He wanted to be on Zelda's good side, though,
so he didn't say anything too rude to Link.
"Zelda! What's up? Why are you hanging with this clown? You know what you need? Me."
he smoothed his red fohawk upwards and slid one of his gargantuanly muscular arms onto Zelda's petite shoulder. She forced a polite smile onto her face, but shook his arm off of her.
"This "clown" is my best friend." She walked forward a few steps toward a vacant table.
She abruptly looked back at Groose and his groupies.
"Weren't... you just leaving?" She flashed an innocent smile.
Groose smirked and stalked away. Purposefully, he bumped into Link and laughed out the words, " Oh, sooo sorry." His friends laughed and fell into step with him.
"Good job, Zelda." Sheik said, high fiving her. His eyes averted to the bathroom.
"Excuse me..." he walked away, headed for the rest room. Link sighed and plopped onto a stool across from Zelda.
"Don't let Groose get you down." Zelda said, eyeing Link's handsome face.
"It's because he likes you."
"It's because you're my best friend and I trust you, and I don't even like him."
" He thinks it's... more than friendship though.." Link said shyly.
Zelda's hand flew up to her golden hair and she twirled a loose strand around, blushing, before she boldly asked,
"Is it?"
Link's eyes grew wide and he bit his lip. His face blushing, he replied,
"I-I..."
"Back." Sheik called. " What are we having?"

Well I read it, and I thought it was pretty good. I noticed one or two spelling mistakes but it doesn't matter. The plot seems interesting too. I'll be looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Until The World Ends.

When they arrived back home to the knight academy,they all went to their rooms. Zelda went upstairs with the girls, and Link and Sheik downstairs with the boys. But Link just layed in bed, pondering Zelda's question. Did he feel more towards her than just friendliness?
Did he want to kiss her soft lips, feel her smooth hair, touch her ... perfect face? Did he want to stare into her amazinglyblue eyes? Did he... he fell asleep at a late hour, thinking those thoughts, and wondering how Zelda felt.

Skyloft Knight Academy - 7:45 a.m.
"Link, please explain your tardiness." Link puffed into his class, tired beyond all reason.
"Fifteen minutes late, to be exact. Considering your room is right across the hall, this should be good." Link sighed. He'd woken up late, to be honest. At least his homework was done.
" I didn't get alot of sleep..." He said, looking towards Zelda. Instructor Horwell nodded towards an empty seat.
"Infraction. Your second one this month. One more and you'll get to spend an hour after school with me, oh joy."
Clearing his throat, Instructor Horwell spoke again.
"Everyone, we will be doing a science lab today. Partner up with someone, and I will explain." Hardly anyone was ever absent on account of the fact that they all lived here, so finding partners wasn't difficult.
"Be my partner, Link?" He turned to face Saria, a girl who was pretty, but very petite and had oddly colored hair. She was to late, however.
"Zelda's my partner already, sorry."
"Alright," the insturctor yelled with authority, " to better understand our study of the heart, we shall be doing an excersize on pulse rate. Take your partners pulse without them doing anything. Then take it after a minute of physical activity. There are pulse points in the wrist and neck. Single file line, lets go outside." Once outside in a small field, Link took Zelda's pulse before she got any physical activity. It was an easy rhythm, and Link wanted to just listen to it. But Zelda grabbed a jump rope and started jumping.
"So about my question." she said inbetween jumps.
Link was startled at the memory of her question last night.
"is it?"
"What about it?" he asked, trying to act nonchalant.
"You.... never really answered me."
Zelda stopped jumping to ask,
"Is it... are we more than just friends?" she began jumping again, and Link looked down at the grass.
"Do you... want it to be?" he asked shyly.
"Take your partners pulse!" the instructor shouted. Link's face burned as he placed one hand on Zelda's sleek neck. Her skin was so soft. He was so close to her, everywhere was burning. She smelled good, too. Like a flower. He started leaning towards her as a reflex, but forced himslef to stop. He felt a sudden rush, and the heat flooded out and was replaced by a glow. Confidence.
"Do you want it to be more?" he asked, boldly. Zelda's eyes pored through him. Suddenly she put a smooth hand on his face.
"Yes... so much more." She said, leaning in to kiss him. Link could feel her breath when someone screamed "PDA!" Insturctor Horwell rushed over to them. "What's going on here!" he demanded.
Zelda gave an overdramatic gasp.
"Pulse checking. Goddesses, you're such immature children!" She turned to face the instructor.
"I'm deeply sorry, Insturctor Horwell. I am the headmasters daughter. You know me all to well. Would I break my own father's rules?" she flipped her golden hair onto one shoulder. Horwell relaxed.
" Of, of course not, Zelda. Sorry... to trouble you two." He walked away.
"Alright, back into the classroom."

12:30 p.m. - fitness class.
"Gym class, with Zelda.." Link thought. He sighed as he threw on some gym shorts. "She wants to be so much more than friends..." he thought. That put a smile onto his face.
"You look upbeat today, Link. Just as well, you know?" A kind upperclassmen, Pipit, said.
"Thanks," he said, although his thoughts were elsewhere.

All the students were entering the gym. Zelda could only think about the amazing feeling she got from Link. " Alright students, I'll take attendance, then we can get started." Link was staring at Zelda, daydreaming.
" Lets partner up students! We'll be doing a rotation around the room, and you'll be required to do different activities at each station. Then we'll run, ten minutes. So partner up!" Link and Zelda quickly looked at eachother, and when they met eye to eye, they both felt pink. Link approached Zelda and asked her to be his partner. She took his hand, leading him towards a station. The miniature sign on the wall said, "complete 10 pushups and 25 situps."
Zelda took the lead and laid on the ground, starting her situps first. Link sat on the floor at her feet, pushing down on her toes.
"So, uh, Link, what we were talking about?" Zelda said as she came up from her first situp, closing the gap between her and Link.
"I want us to be "so much more," too..." he said, trailing off nervously.
When he said this, Zelda came up to his face in her third situp. She stared into his blue, blue eyes and felt the sincerity in him. She did another situp, coming very close, nose-to-nose with hi,. She wanted to kiss him, but didn't want an infraction or demerit. She wass willing to risk it. She was close when they heard a familairly distinct voice.
"Yeeeaaahhh. I'm not going to tell on you for... whatever this is, but finish you're situps. You guys are the slowest in here. So hurry up, we need this spot Link!" They both stood up, not caring about the unfinished activity. Link stayed close by Zelda's side as they storde away. Zelda looked back, but Tetra was already staring her down. They walked farther, and Zelda let out of sigh of weariness. She locked her fingers into Link's large hand and sighed again, only happier this time.
Skyloft- 2:45pm
"Ughh, it is so hot!" Nabooru cried, fanning herself.
"Yeah!" exclaimed Ruto. " Let's go to the beach!" She puckered her lips sideways and giggled,
" Invite one...two... everyone!" The girls started planning, sitting in the academy's kitchen.
Zelda threw her head back and laughed.
"I'll go tell all the boys."
She half ran, half skipped out of the kitchen and into the classroom where the boys were hanging.
"Guys." Zelda said. Noone stopped and looked, even Link was to busy laughng with Sheik.
"Guys!"
"GUYS!" Then she whistled.
All ten boys then turned to look at her. Self concious, she flipped some of her golden hair over one shoulder.
"We are all flying to Outset Island to go play at the beach. You're all invited to come with us!" She waved to noone in praticular and skipped out of the room. When she was gone, Groose smiled an egoistic smile. Link's glare could've burnt a hole through cement.

Skyloft- 3:15pm
"Everyone ready?" Midna called out authoritively. She shifted her body weight onto one leg.
She began counting out loud.
"17...18... 18? Who's not here?"
"Strich and Medli ain't comin'!" Malon informed her. Groose couldn't wait any longer. "Let's get outta here! Come on."
With that, he was the first one to jump off of the platform and into the air, on their way to Outset Island. Seconds later everyone followed suit. It was a beautiful sight, many loftwings, many colors, floating through the air, side by side. The crimson from Link's bird stood out the most. The sight of the birds was beautiful.
